Tomasz Błaszczak
Tomasz Błaszczak is a research fellow at the Czesław Miłosz Center in Vytautas Magnus university in Kaunas (Lithuania) and part time research fellow at the Lithuanian Studies Unit at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. He also teaches at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities at Vytautas Magnus University. Tomasz holds a Ph.D in History from Nicolas Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland). His research interest includes minority issues in the Baltic Sea Region and the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the interwar period. He is the author of Białorusini w Republice Litewskiej 1918-1940 (Białystok, 2017) (Belarusians in the Lithuanian Republic 1918-1940). He is a member of several associations, including The Institute of Grand Duchy of Lithuania in Kaunas, which connects scholars and intellectuals from the region of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
He joined the NTAutonomy team as guest researcher to investigate the activities of Belarusians and Lithuanians in the European Nationalities Congress. His three months visit is financed by the OeAD.
