Szilveszter Csernus-Lukács

Mr. Csernus-Lukács received his Master's degree in 2014 from the University of Szeged, Hungary (Szegedi Tudományegyetem). He has been a doctoral student at his alma mater since 2015 and at Philipps University since 2019. From 2018 to 2022, he was a research associate at the Herder Institute of Historical East Central European Research - Institute of the Leibniz Association. His academic interests have always been nationalism studies, legal history and security studies. His dissertation is devoted to nationality issues of the Central European area, especially the late Habsburg Kingdom of Hungary; his case study is the language policy and national minority movements of the southern Hungarian county of Bács-Bodrog. He is currently a fellow in Vienna.
